ArendsRus Accommodation in George

Lodge Rooms

Five en-suite double rooms and one honeymoon en-suite room offers stylish accommodation to any traveller.  All rooms comes standard with en-suite bath and shower facilities and a toilet friend system for an added luxury.

Tea/Coffee stations, in-room telephones, clock radio, heating, ceiling fans, 800 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets for ultimate luxury and bathroom gift packs will ensure the comfort of our guests.

We provide added extra’s in the room such as extra blankets, electronic hot water bottles, an umbrella, a flash light and a hair dryer to make sure our guests have all they need. Upon arrival our guests can enjoy a glass of sherry, chocolates and fresh fruit to help make them feel at home. We also have laundry and room service available.

Weavers Cabin

Our Weavers Cabin has 2 bedrooms - one with a King size bed and the other with two single beds. It features 2 bathrooms as well as a fully equipped kitchen and living room. The Living room features a flatscreen TV with Open View HD channels and a DVD Player.

Set in the fynbos gardens with glorious views, bird watching from the balcony is an added relaxation. If you would prefer to have a beautiful view to look at while enjoying your meal, we provided four comfortable chairs and a table on the balcony. The wooden cabin design gives a feel that you are truly somewhere in the wilderness.

Double Story Arch Cabin

Book our Double Story Arch Cabin for your family and enjoy a 2 bedroom cabin with a King size bed and two single beds. The Living room features a flat screen 65 Inch 4K HD Samsung Smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video & Free Wi-Fi. Tea/Coffee stations, heating, fans, 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets for ultimate luxury and bathroom gift packs will ensure the comfort of our guests. We also have laundry and room service available.

Luxury Tents

Our luxury Tents offers stylish “glamping” luxury tent accommodation to any traveller. The unit comes standard with a large hommock at the front strong enough to support more than 2 people, an en-suite bathroom with double basins and shower facilities. Tea/Coffee stations with a fully stocked Mini Bar, in-tent telephone, Airconditioning, heated blankets, Egyptian cotton sheets for ultimate luxury and bathroom gift packs that will ensure the comfort of our guests. 

We provide added extra’s in the room such as extra blankets, an umbrella, emergency lighting and a hair dryer to make sure our guests have all they need. Upon arrival our guests can enjoy a glass of sherry, chocolates and fresh fruit to help make them feel at home. We also have laundry and room service available. 

Set in the open fields with glorious views, bird watching from each balcony deck is an added relaxation. If you would prefer to have a beautiful view to look at while enjoying your meal we provided a comfortable patio bench on the front deck. The tent design gives a feel that you are truly somewhere in the wilderness.

Campsite

Our campsite has spectacular panoramic views of the Outeniqua mountains and you can see at far as Mosselbay up to the hills of Wilderness.

We offer 12 Exclusive stands of which 2 are wheel chair accessable.  Each stand also has its own electrical point and distribution box where you can make use of our electricity or to plug in your camper.

Wi-Fi is available for free at the campsite and is accessible from every stand.  Each stand will also be provided with a movable braai for their convenience. We have 3 ablution buildings each with 4 complete bathrooms making 12 fully equipped bathrooms.

Guest Facilities

There is also a shared lounge area with a Flat Screen TV, a DVD Player and full DSTV for our lodge guests to enjoy and is accessible 24 hours of the day. Here you can relax, listen to music, have a coffee, read a book from our personal collection or keep an eye on the little ones while they enjoy themselves in the swimming pool. We also have a selection of board and card games for our guests to enjoy.

 

ArendsRus Wedding & Function Venue

ArendsRus provides a relaxing haven for families, corporate guests, small groups as well as private events of all kinds. We can facilitate weddings, or any other function that requires a touch of class and beautiful scenery for up to +/- 80 guests. With an expert wedding planner/function coordinator on hand, prospective clients can rest easy, knowing that their every need would be tended to, and that their big day is in safe hands. The picturesque surrounding makes for gorgeous photography, whilst the kitchen staff will prepare a feast fit for royalty.

A refurbished barn we call the “ArendsRus Barn Yard” is available or for smaller functions the Restaurant can also be used. Our lovely rose garden is also the perfect place to take your wedding photos.

Activities at ArendsRus

The adjacent forest offers numerous recreational opportunities, including mountain biking, walking trails, bird watching and picnic spot in pockets of indigenous forest and pine plantation.  We also compile golf packages with transport and meals included to cater for guest who would enjoy venturing out to one of numerous golf courses in the area. A swimming pool is also provided for your entertainment.

Just  minutes outside George, the capital of the Garden Route, ArendsRus is within one hour’s drive of most Garden Route attractions, from Oudtshoorn and the Cango Caves, to Mossel Bay’ famous Diaz museum, the wilderness lakes district and Knysna’s alluring lagoon. We are also just 20 minutes away from the closest beach.
